“Alanna is a remarkably effective and inspiring speaker. When she presented to The Shebeen Club, her speech on the themes in her new book was everything an event organizer would want it to be. Our turnout double what we expected, the highest we have had in the three years I have been doing these events. The material was exciting, appropriate and authentic; Alanna was fresh and very present, engaged with the room, speaking with us – never at us. Alanna inspired us for hours; even on a very hot July night in a room without air conditioning, 80% of attendees stayed well past the scheduled end-time for Q&A and she generously hung out until the last person was satisfied.
