Find Your Calling…
Have you found yourself here not because you already have some soul-driven business or personal project but rather because you wish you did? Almost every Spirit Venture begins with a sense of longing. It definitely begins with some searching. Once upon a time that may have meant a foray into the wilderness or a stay at a silent ashram. While those are noble pursuits (indeed I’ve enjoyed both at one time or another), today such searching probably involves Google. And, happily, by some serendipitous means, it’s brought you HERE.
The calling which brings people to embark on spirit ventures usually involves a deep need to connect and create at the same time.
For some, the vision is clear and demanding right from the beginning: would-be entrepreneurs spend years, sometimes decades, with a burning desire to design their own line of fair-trade clothing, open an all-organics catering company, design smartphone apps which can save lives, or build a school for gifted kids. They know the what but need help with the HOW. Just as many, begin the opposite way, however – theirs is a burning need to seek, informed by a certainty that they can develop systems, operations and management methods which will grow a business and the people in it, but they need help with the WHAT.
